Hello Everyone!
Today I am sharing another magical rain shaker card with the adorable elephant and mouse the “Puddle Play” stamp set by Hello Bluebird.
First, I stamped out all of my images and cut them out using my Brother Scan’n’Cut. Then I colored them using Arteza and Zig Markers.
Then, I used Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky Distress Ink to create the background. I splattered some Lawn Fawn Liquid Pixie Dust onto it to add shine. I die cut a hill and cloud border using the Grassy Knoll die. I ink blended the clouds with Stormy Sky and the hill with Peeled Paint Distress Ink.
I added pencil marks to the top and bottom of the panel – 0.25″ apart. I added a strip of foam 2mm foam tape to the top and bottom of the panel and pressed each individual string that held the beads into the adhesive. I repeated this process for every pencil mark I had made. Then I added a second strip of foam tape to seal the strings in and cut of the excess strings on the top and bottom. I added little strips of foam tape to the sides of the panel as support for the clouds and hills. Then, I used some anti-static powder tool and ran it along the top on bottom side of the foam tape (where the beads may touch it) so that nothing will stick to it.
Here you can see some pictures of what the mechanism should look like:
I heat embossed my sentiment in silver onto the cloud and added both the clouds and the hill to the panel. I added my images to the card and adhered everything to an A2 sized card base.
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
