Hello crafty friends!
I hope you are doing well! Today I have a new card to share with you. A relative is celebrating her 25th wedding anniversary and I wanted to make her a special card! This style of card is rather unusual for me, but I really enjoyed changing it up a bit!
First, I ink blended a panel of bristol smooth cardstock using the Simon Says Stamp “Bouquet of Roses” stencil and Distress Oxides. For the leaves I used Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen Bough and for the roses Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick. I cut down the panel with the second largest of the Waffle Flower “A2 Layers” dies and adhered it into berry colored card base.
I die cut the numbers with the Stampin’ Up Large Numbers dies out of white fun foam and silver mirror cardstock and layered the two on top of each other. I added them to the panel using liquid glue.
I wanted to add a German sentiment to this card, but I didn’t have a stamp for it. So I created a document in Silhouette Studio with a font and printed it with a laser printer onto smooth black laser paper. Then I used the White Heidi Swapp Minc Foil and ran it through my Minc machine to transfer the toner foil. After that I die cut the sentiment with the Lawn Fawn “Everyday Sentiment Banners”. I die cut it once again from the plain black laser paper and layered it behind the sentiment to give it more stability. The strip was then adhered using foam squares.
Finally, I added some pale pink pearls and clear sequins to the card to add some shine.
Even though this is not my usual style, I really like how it turned out! I loooooove floral cards in general, I just don’t have a lot of stamps for it and it’s way out of my comfort zone. But this makes me want to try it more! I really hope you liked it as well!
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
