Hello everyone!
Today I want to share a spring scene card with you. I used the super sweet “Dandy Day” set by Lawn Fawn!
First, I stamped out my images and I used my Brother Scan’n’Cut to cut them out. Then I colored them using Copic Markers Markers.
I die cut the Foursquare backdrop three times. Then I ink blended one of them with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Ink. I also die cut a grassy border and ink blended that with Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn and I also added splatters in those colors for added interest. For some sparkle I added embossing ink with a Versamarker to the dandelions and used some clear sparkle embossing powder on it. I also stamped lots of little dandelion pieces on the background with a grey ink and also heat embossed that with the clear glitter embossing powder.
I ink blended a second panel with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean und die cut the letters “DANDY” using the Oliver’s Stitched ABC’s. This will build my sentiment “I think you’re DANDY (and I’m not lion.). This last part just cracks me up every time I read it!! I also cut the letters from white fun foam and layered them behind the colored ones for dimension. The rest of the sentiment I heat embossed in white onto black cardstock. I trimmed it into thin strips.
I adhered some clouds to the background and then glued all the backdrop layers and the grassy layer together and added that on top. I used a magnetic craft mat and a t-square ruler to make sure I lined up the letters straight when I adhered them with liquid glue. I added the sentiments strips above and below with foam tape.
To finish my card, it was then time to add all my images to my scene. I used foam tape to adhere everything!
I hope you enjoyed this one! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
– Julia
