Hello everyone!
Today I want to share a spring slider card with you. I used the super cute “Dandy Day” set by Lawn Fawn!
First, I stamped out my images and I used my Brother Scan’n’Cut to cut them out. Then I colored them using Copic Markers Markers.
I die cut the Meadow backdrop twice and I ink blended one of them with Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles. I also added some splatters with the same colors. For the background I used Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Ink. I also die cut a white stitched frame to go on top. For some added sparkle I added embossing ink with a Versamarker to the dandelions and used some clear sparkle embossing powder on it. I also stamped lots of little dandelion pieces on the background and a few on the hills with a grey ink and also heat embossed that with the clear glitter embossing powder.
I adhered tube-shaped beads to the back of my mouse for my slider mechanism liquid glue and gave it a good amount of time to dry. Then, I put a layer of shaker foam tape around the edge of the background and put nylon string through the beads and pressed them into the foam tape to create the sliding effect. I show the entire process in detail in the video!
I die cut a banner and stamped the sentiment from the set in black ink.
I added a second layer of foam tape to seal in the strings. I glued my background to a card base, removed all the backings of the foam tape and adhered that to the background.
To finish my card, it was then time to add all my images to my scene. I used foam tape to adhere everything including the banner.
I hope you enjoyed this one! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
– Julia
