Hello Crafty Friends!
I hope you are doing well! Today I want to share the fourth installment of design #ChallengeACraftyFriend card with you. This time we yet did another redesign. We already made the original Magic Picture Changer Card and turned those into a Scalloped Box Card and a Reveal Wheel Card!
This time the challenge was: Downsizing! Turn a full scene into a smaller version. So I made this CAS-ish (for me anyways! :-D) card!
If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!
First, I stamped all my images onto Neenah cardstock and colored all of them using Copic markers. Then, they were cut out using the Brother Scan’n’Cut. I also added some white gel pen details to the gift boxes.
I die cut the Scalloped Circle Frames 4 times out of white cardstock and I also cut a hill and used the Scalloped Circled to give it the same edge to fit inside the circle. I ink blended one of the inside circles the die created with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. Then I die cut the Stitched Oliver’s ABCs and I used the same Oxides on those. I also die cut the letters again out of fun foam to give them dimension! After that ink blended the hill with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Oxide Ink and splattered it with the same colors for added interest. I also die cut lots of little white clouds from the Center Picture Window Die set.
I stamped part of my sentiment from the “Super Star” stamp set onto a Narwhal cardstock strip and heat embossed it in white. This way the sentiment will read “have a happy birthday”.
Then, I layered the 4 scalloped circle die cuts using liquid glue and added them directly onto an A2 sized card base. I added circle in the center and the the hill on top. And then I adhered the white puffy clouds and all my images into to the little circle scene using liquid glue and foam tape.
Then I adhered the letters that spell “happy” to the card and added the two little sentiment strips using foam squares. Finally I added lots of shimmer pen and Nuvo Crystal Glaze for added shine and interest!
I really hope you enjoyed this one! I really had a ton of fun making it!
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
– Julia
