Hello crafty friends!
Today I am here with Day 7 of my 2020 Holiday Card Series! This time I created a wintery scene with magical fairies decorating for Christmas using stamps und dies by Hello Bluebird!
First, I stamped my images onto Neenah cardstock and colored them using Copic markers. Then, they were cut out using the Brother Scan’n’Cut.
I die cut two pieces of A7 bristol and used the Pond Builder die set on one of them to cut the edge for the lake. I ink blended the lake with Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Oxide Ink. I used a generous amount of shimmer spritz on it to create an icy look. The main background was ink blended using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Black Soot Oxides. After that I die cut the Tree House Scene die and ink blended it with Frayed Burlap, Walnut Stain and Ground Espresso Distress Ink. I colored the door with Copic markers that match the faires.
I adhered the pond piece to an A7 card base and added foam tape to the purple background and adhered that on top of the pond panel. I added the tree house and the trees using liquid glue. All the other images were added with foam squares.
Finally, to embellish I added lots of shimmer pen, Stickles and iridescent stars for added sparkle!
I really hope you like it!
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
– Julia
