Hello crafty friends!
Today I want to share a baby card with you I made for a friend who is expecting! When I first saw the Special Delivery stamp set I got the idea to use it for a baby card and that the bird or owl could deliver the baby! I mean… the stork needs a vacation too every now and again, right? haha The colors were inspired by the amazing Mindy Eggen! She created a card for the Lawn Fawn Design Team and her background was just soooo dreamy! I had to recreate it!
So I really hope you like it! This is also my entry for the current Lawnfawnatics “Outstanding Occasions” challenge!
If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!
First, I stamped my images onto Neenah cardstock and colored them using Copic markers. Then, they were cut out using the Brother Scan’n’Cut
I ink blended the background with Distress Oxide Inks (see color map below for the exact colors) and I also added lots of splatters for more interest!
I die cut a scalloped card panel from white cardstock, then layered a slightly smaller red rectangle on top and then attached both to a slimline card base. After that I added the ink blended panel. I also die cut some puffy cloud frames in white and adhered them to the background. Then I added all my images with liquid glue and foam squares. I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto a red cardstock and cut it into little strips and added them to the card.
Finally, to embellish the card I added shimmer pen, Crystal Glaze and Stickles, as well as some iridescent jewels!
Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!
