Hello crafty friends!
I was in need of a few birthday cards, so I decided to make another trio of cards – but you could make a whole bunch of them without adding much more time, too! I absolutely love adding extra sparkle to my large sentiment dies by using Crystal Glaze and Glitter! Do you love sparkly cards as well?
I started by stamping the images from Simply Celebrate Critters and Simply Celebrate Critters Add-On on marker paper and cut them out using my Brother Scan’n’Cut DX. Then, I colored them using Copic markers. I wanted to make different variations of the same card so I switched out the colors and the critters on each card!
Once I finished coloring, I die the Diagonal Simple Stripes backdrop and ink blended half the stripes for each in teal/pink. I also die-cut the Giant Happy Birthday 9 times for each card out of white cardstock and I ink blended three of those in pink, teal, and peach. I layered all the stripes on an A2-sized card base and then added my giant greeting and critters with speech bubbles on top.
Finally, I added a generous layer of Crystal Glaze (being careful not to go over the edges) on the letters and then sprinkled Prisma and Chunky Glitter over top. I let it dry overnight to be sure. I also added a bit of Stardust Stickles in the little heart in the speech bubbles!
I really love how quickly these cuties came together! Do you ever make multiples of the same cards or mass produce them? Do you have a favorite among these 3? Normally, I am always partial to mice but this time I have to go with the kitties!!
I hope you liked this one! You can watch the full tutorial down below:
